What to Expect

Let the planting develop.

Seeds typically germinate in 7–21 days. Earlier annuals may begin flowering in 6–10 weeks, followed by fuller summer color and continued late-season bloom. Perennials can strengthen and return in later years.

Prepare, sow, and press.

Clear and expose the soil, broadcast seed evenly, press firmly for good seed-to-soil contact, and keep the surface moist through germination. Elevation, desert heat, seasonal rainfall, and frost timing should guide the exact planting window.
